Breast cancer is a very real disease that can kill if it’s ignored. It starts out with a lump or tumor. Usually a mammogram or MRI will see it. Then, a Radiologist will take a biopsy to determine if it’s malignant or benign. If it’s malignant, then it’s sent to pathology to determine the type of cancer it is, how aggressive or non aggressive it is. Is it fast or slow growing? You see, just because someone has a tumor you can’t just think “Oh well, It’s breast cancer so let’s get rid of it” A lot goes into finding out all that can be found out before a Dr makes a decision on what to do. They will first remove the lump. and they may take lymph nodes to see if it spread to the lymphs. If it did, then they will discuss with the patient about treatment. Another thing that there are a lot of kinds of. You have to have the right treatment for that right kind of cancer. Then If you get a person like me, the only alternative I had was a bi-lateral mastectomy. I have no breast at all, but like I always say, ‘I don’t care, I have life” That’s worth more to me than breasts
I have to add that not all lumps are breast cancer and this cancer usually strikes women who are post menopausal, Then there are those who are younger, My sister in law was 33 which is very unusuall to have breast cancer. No one in her family ever had it either. Sometimes nature plays a dirty trick on a young woman. Even rarer is a teen getting it and don’t forget, men can get breast cancer too. Hope this is what you’re looking for because honestly, your question is kind of wide open to a lot of things. Good luck.
It can kill you, and then you are dead. That says it all.
